"How 'bout them apples?"

It’s Glastonbury's own public art event that generates excitement and builds community spirit while utilizing the town's amazing local artistic talent, it’s a vehicle that substantially increases visits to local businesses, and it’s a program that raises money for local nonprofits and charities.

Similar to the Whale Trail that made its debut in southeastern Connecticut during the summer of 2005 and the CowParade that adorned the streets of downtown West Hartford in 2004, giant apple sculptures will line the streets of Glastonbury in 2007!

Presented by the Glastonbury Junior Women's Club, these creative, unique, apple sculptures will spend the summer of 2007 placed at locations throughout Connecticut. The exhibit will garner significant local and regional media attention as television, radio and print outlets from across the country will cover this wonderful event. Previous exhibits have proven wildly popular and a delight for residents and tourists alike, enticing thousands of people to visit all of the sculptures at their various sponsor locations.

Each Glastonbury Apple will offer a unique experience in art, history, or just pure fun. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to be part of the fun by sponsoring a Glastonbury Apple. It’s a fitting celebration of Glastonbury's signature icon and of the town's strong arts community.
